Your solo stronghold in the storm

The Three Wire Hooped Bivy is a four-season, ultralight solo shelter made for adventurers who demand serious protection without hauling big bulk. With a single-pole design that boosts headroom, an upper that zips open for extra access or ventilation, and a shallow bathtub floor for structural stability, this bivy holds its own in brutal weather. Head-end windows offer dual closure options — mesh when you want airflow, or a zip-coated panel when it's time to batten down. Three stake-out loops help lock it in when the wind turns nasty.

Built using ultralight, three-layer waterproof breathable nylon with a microporous membrane, a reinforced nylon ripstop floor with 1200 mm polyurethane coating, and all seams taped with solvent-free polyurethane (no PVC/VOC), this shelter delivers on durability. Pack size is small, trail weight is modest, and every material and detail is designed to balance protection, weight, and packability.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Always dry and clean your tent before storage to prevent mildew and damage to waterproof coatings. Store in a cool, dry place and avoid long exposure to heat or direct sun. For cleaning, gently hand-wash with warm (not hot) water and a gear-specific cleaner like Nikwax Tech Wash, then rinse thoroughly and air-dry completely. Never machine-wash, dry clean, bleach, or use detergents. Keep zippers free of dirt by brushing or using zipper cleaner, and remember: Big Agnes tents come seam-sealed, so extra sealing is optional unless you want added protection.
