Description

The BOREAL21 unfolds in seconds as one connected assembly, with no loose parts to fumble with. Blade tensioning is automatic and consistent every time you open it, and the saw teeth stay fully concealed when folded, protecting you and your gear in transport. The 3-hinged trapezium frame gives it high clearance for large-diameter cuts, while the 21" blade keeps it compact enough to pack along on any trip.

The frame is high-strength anodized aluminum, so it won't twist under load. The handle and tension arm are fiberglass-reinforced nylon, with an ergonomic grip angle built to balance stroke power and control. All hardware is stainless steel. Blade replacement is quick and tool-free, and the BOREAL21 is available with All-Purpose, Aggressive, or Hunter blades depending on the job.

About Agawa Gear

Agawa Canyon Inc. began with canoe trips down Ontario's Agawa River into Lake Superior, where the founders developed a lifelong pull toward backcountry travel. Around campfires, they kept hitting the same frustration — gear that fell short, forcing them to tinker and modify before every trip. That recurring problem became the seed for building something better.

A career change gave them the opening to design a stronger camp saw, and the company launched from a garage in 2014, funded in part by an early Kickstarter campaign for the BOREAL21. Today the team — adventurers first, backed by engineering and industrial design chops — still spends serious time paddling Canada's northern rivers, and donates 1% of annual revenue to wildlife and conservation causes.
